COVID Update April 29 - All-School Quarantine

To the Northwood Community:

Our routine surveillance testing on Tuesday revealed a positive case in the girls’ hockey cohort. We will begin an all-school quarantine today that will last at least until we have test results, which we expect on Friday evening.

All classes for the rest of the week are remote and all other in-person activities are canceled.

Beginning with breakfast today, faculty will deliver meals to Second East (soccer) and Second West (Girls Hockey). Those cohorts will be tested on their hall.

All other cohort halls will come to grab-and-go breakfast, get tested at the usual location and have their health check, and then return to their rooms for quarantine.

Day students will have a drive-thru testing clinic at the front door between noon and 12:30.

The purpose of this quarantine is to stop the spread of the virus at Northwood School. We can stop the spread if you wear your mask whenever you are outside of your room, stay at least six feet apart from other people, and wash your hands often.

I will provide additional updates as the situation develops.

Sincerely,

John Spear

Assistant Head of School
