With Northwood's L.E.A.P Program set to begin in two weeks, students and faculty are excited about this year's options for unique learning experiences. There are popular returning courses and intriguing new offerings this year. One course presented some of their work thus far in all-school meeting this week. The Tanzania: Safari and Service students presented their efforts toward raising funds for a playground at a preschool near Mto wa Mbu. Materials for the playground will be purchased in Tanzania to ensure funds support the local economy. While in Mto wa Mbu, the Northwood group (9 students, 2 faculty) will tour the preschool, meet the students there, and prepare the site for construction of the new playground.
