Northwood Students Receive Deo B. Colburn Award

Lake Placid, New York, July 9, 2020 -  Four local Northwood School students have been received the Deo B. Colburn award. The Deo B. Colburn Education Foundation is a scholarship program that was established by Deo B. Colburn in 1987 for student residents of the Northeastern portion of the Adirondack Park pursuing a college education. 

From its inception, the Deo B. Colburn Foundation has awarded aid to thousands of local students to assist with college tuition and expenses. First-year awards range from $500 to $1500 and are renewable for four collegiate years assuming the recipients’ strong academic performance. The awards go to students who have shown excellence in academics and character. This year’s awards for Northwood School students are:
