Learning through First Hand Experience
Northwood School offers a challenging core curriculum that emphasizes preparation for college coursework in a supportive and structured setting. Additionally, we offer several Signature Academic Programs that provide students with first hand experiences to help develop and deepen their interests in specific subject areas.
The academic program at Northwood School is designed to strengthen our students' intellectual abilities and promote character development. Faculty members use a variety of techniques to ensure that courses are student-centered. An average class size of ten allows for the success of students of all learning styles. The involvement of Northwood School's faculty in the lives of our students extends beyond the classroom. Faculty play multiple roles at Northwood, such as advisor, coach and dorm parent. Our goal is to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate the challenges of the twenty-first century.
