Northwood School offers a highly competitive boys lacrosse program in the spring. The program continues the long tradition of lacrosse in upstate New York making the Empire State a hotbed of the sport. Northwood’s lacrosse program features a varsity team that plays a competitive 8-10 game schedule against New York and New England prep schools, upstate New York public high schools, as well as high schools from the greater Montreal area. This program is offered to all boys in grades 9-12 and is open to all skill levels. The lacrosse season begins in late March and continues through the middle of May.
Northwood School offers a highly competitive girls lacrosse team in the spring season. The Northwood Girls’ Lacrosse team is an affiliate member of the New York State Section 10 League. Daily practices focus on stick skills, passing, and team strategy. With a seven game competitive schedule, the girls' lacrosse team plays surrounding high schools including Canton, Ogdensburg, Heuvelton, Massena, Potsdam, Salmon River, and Saranac Lake. The team is comprised of both experienced players and those new to the sport.
