Girls' Hockey Travels to Minnesota

The Girls' Hockey team at the Minnesota Gopher's home ice, the 3M Center The Girls' Hockey team had a fantastic January traveling throughout the Northeast and culminating in the Midwest at the University of Minnesota!  Along our travels, we had a training camp in Chazy, NY, skating twice a day before heading off to play games at St. Lawrence University.  After two games in Canton, we continued our journey to New Jersey and Philadelphia which was capped off by seeing the Flyers play the Jets at the Wells Fargo Center! After three nights back in the “Northwood Castle”, we hopped on a flight to Minneapolis, Minnesota to participate in a JWHL (Junior Women's Hockey League) event. All games were played in Ridder Arena, where the Minnesota Gophers Women’s team play their home games. During our stay we had the opportunity to be 22 of the 10,000 fans that packed the building for the Minnesota Men’s game vs. Michigan State. It was an electric atmosphere!  Our flight home was a good one as we went undefeated in our last 6 games of the trip! We have great momentum heading into the final stretch and most important games of our season." - Trevor Gilligan '03, Director of Athletics, Head Coach Girls' Hockey
