Northwood School and the Innovation Hub at Northwood School are proud to partner with Pauls Smith's College Adirondack Watershed Institute and host the kick-off event for the second annual Adirondack Water Week. The 2021 theme is "Valuing Water." The opening event is:
WATERSHED WALK: MIRROR LAKE WATERSHED
Celebrate Water Week with an experiential exploration of the Mirror Lake watershed. All you need is appropriate walking shoes, a phone with a camera and with connection to the internet/cellular, and a sense of adventure. You will explore some of the important watershed features found in the Village of Lake Placid and around Mirror Lake and learn how watersheds function and are protected. The program is ongoing and available all week during Water Week. Materials will be available online here before August 22 and at the Innovation Hub. The program is free and family-friendly.
