Today’s educational landscape and the demands of technology and the pandemic have created an ever-changing future. First Soccer Showcase On New Turf Field The Northwood Soccer Team will break in the new artificial turf field November 12-14 with the 2021 Northwood Invitational recruitment event. The 3-day event will showcase quality teams from top colleges from across the country. The games are a soft launch of the new field with a formal event next spring when all components are complete. Read More (https://www.northwoodschool.org/news/new-turf-field-debut-nov-12-14-invitational) Student-led Conference Pilot Program Success Ms. Wint, 9th grade Dean, initiated a student-led conference designed to help 9th graders take responsibility for and ownership of their learning. This approach empowers students to take ownership over their learning and aligns with the other pedagogical shifts the school is making. We are seeking stories of 750-1500 words which focus upon a pivotal moment in your Northwood experience. We will publish selected entries on the Northwood Facebook page and have our readers vote for their favorite entry after the first ten stories are posted. First prize is $100; second, $50; third, $25. Please submit your entries as Word documents to reeds@northwoodschool.org. If we feel any edits are appropriate, we will allow the author to see and approve any suggestions. We will be accepting entries through the end of the calendar year.
